Fazenda Agropesg was founded in 1974 as a diversified farm growing coffee, corn, soy and wheat. In 1997, the Yamamoto family began focusing more closely on coffee production.
In 2021, Ernesto Yamamoto's son Cassio returned to the family farm to oversee specialty coffee production. The family has continued to invest in quality, agronomy and improvements to its coffee processing, building on decades of agricultural experience.
This single estate lot is the Paraíso MG2 variety, grown at 1,250 metres above sea level. The cherries were manually harvested, depulped and dried on patios in carefully managed layers. The coffee was then rested to equalize moisture before final drying and milling.
We roast this coffee to a medium profile to showcase its rich notes of dark chocolate, toffee and molasses, complemented by yellow plum and pecan. It is a sweet, comforting expression of the evolving specialty coffee production of Brazil.
